Let’s End Child Poverty in Australia

Watch VCI’s Sarah Quinton as she speaks with the media about child poverty in Australia.

Every child deserves access to basic needs—and their teddy. Yet, in Australia, nearly a million children are growing up in poverty, missing out on the safety, comfort, and opportunities they need to thrive.

This year, the Valuing Children Initiative (VCI) proudly joined the Anti-Poverty Week event at the Government House Ballroom. Nearly 200 passionate advocates, community care organisations, child wellbeing experts, and state leaders united to listen to and uplift the voices of children and youth.

Every conversation and action brings us closer to a future where every child’s wellbeing is prioritised.
